Project Overview

This unique building features a striking curved roof finished with traditional clay tiles, requiring a carefully considered approach to integrate solar photovoltaic (PV) technology. The objective was to deliver a renewable energy solution that complements the building’s distinctive architecture while providing long-term energy savings.

Scope of Works

Bespoke Solar PV Installation

Installation of a low-profile solar photovoltaic (PV) array to multiple roof surfaces, including a striking curved roof to the front of the building.

Design lead by Talent

Installation of an array to a curved structure requires a high level of expertise to ensure the finished result looks aesthetically pleasing.

Advanced Inverter Technology

Utilising SolarEdge technology allows the maximum generation on the multiple facets and roof angles for this project.

Powerful, trackable performance

With generation and performance monitoring to individual panel level ensuring peak performance at all times.

Challenges Presented

Complex Roof Geometry
The curved, semi-radial roof design presented a significant technical challenge, requiring a bespoke approach to panel layout and installation.

Specialist Installation Requirements
The complexity of the installation demanded highly skilled, specialist professionals to ensure precision and consistency across the curved surface.

Balancing Aesthetics with Performance
Achieving an efficient solar output while maintaining a seamless, visually sympathetic installation required a carefully engineered solution.

Solutions Implemented

Bespoke System Design
A fully tailored solar PV system was designed to align with the building’s curved roof, ensuring both performance and visual harmony.

Low-Visual Impact Panel Installation
All-black solar panels were selected to provide a sleek, uniform appearance that complements the traditional roofing materials.

Specialist Installation Approach
Our own team of experienced professionals carried out the installation, carefully positioning panels in a semi-radial layout to follow the roof’s natural curvature.

Optimised Energy Performance
A SolarEdge inverter was installed to enable panel-level optimisation and monitoring, ensuring maximum efficiency and long-term performance.
